What about Recalling? I think that Castle and Keep courtyards are/were recallable. Can one still, assuming I did not imagine it, recall to the safety of one's Castle's, and/or Keep's, courtyard?
You still can recall into the courtyards of castles.

I'm still not fully comfortable with the correctness of the house placement check, but what was implemented in this patch should be better. I do hope to do more work on it in the future.
Halbu wrote:So can we teleport into a keep courtyard right now?
Nay, it's not possible to teleport into or within these spaces.

Edit
apparently pet friending Nightmares/Frenzieds still works entirely which is not intended
i have heard mixed reports i had someone tells me that it told them "it shys away" when they try then i see stuff like
[07:00:32] <Haggard-UWL> i friended a nightmare
[07:01:08] <Haggard-UWL> just five minutes ago
[07:01:41] <Haggard-UWL> i'm so confused about that patch...

I too am a bit confused about this. I have been seeing toons with 0.0 "real" Animal Taming able to re-tame Nightmares. I thought only those who had Nightmare(s) and/or Dragon(s) prior to this patch were "grandfathered", or rather allowed to keep said Nightmare(s) and/or Dragon(s). Is it the toon itself that is grandfathered and not the pet, thus anyone who ever had a Nightmare and/or Dragon can still re-tame them?

Pre-tames have a 0 skill requirement to re-tame, you just won't be able to control them (give them instructions, ie. Follow Me, Guard, Transfer, etc.). That particular mechanic was not addressed with this patch.

true but part of what he is saying appears to hold true that newer created character you cant friend to but older ones you can

I am sorry to beat the dead horse (bad pun intended) but is this saying that a character with 0.0 Taming skill could ride a Mare or Frenzied Ostard, commands (all stay, etc...) otherwise won't work?

I ask because I don't have a single point of Taming on any of my characters, but would still like to own an Ostard. Is possible?

violator- I have several non-tamers riding re-tamed mares atm, but things like regular ostards can be owned/commanded properly by any char. I cannot command the mare ofc

Thanks for the clarification. It seemed pretty far fetched that normal ostards would be useless to characters with 0.0 Taming, but I had to ask...
