Armor question

Do all types of armor decrease in effectiveness or does only bone armor do this?

Just curious since i'm broke and don't want to invest in better armor if it does the same thing as bone.

All types of armor take durability damage when you use them in combat, and thus their armor rating drops. Bone Armor though, while offering very good protection at no dexterity loss, has particularly low durability or "hit points" so to speak, that's why it falls apart so quickly.
