Jester's hats spawn in the loot of things like Elder Gazers with magical properties... but, in dungeon chests are always non-magical. Is this intentional?

I have a jester hat of blessing from a lv4 chest so that's untrue. but i understand why you would think that, Ive yet to get a magic ''cap''

How certain are you that you got it from the chest? When did you get it?

After checking my stash I have two, 16 chg blessings and 7 chg protection. both are from dungeon chests.

have you ever found tribal masks / arrows / bolts in dungeon chests? i thought things like this were common on osi?

Arrows and bolts, absolutely. Not in level 4's that much, but very frequently in lower-level chests.

How do you know the jester's are only from chests?

I have gotten non magical hats from dungeon chests, t Map chests, and even balrons or ancient wyrms.. Always are caps, jester hats, or bandanas other hats are always Magical

How do you know the jester's are only from chests?

I've been working lockpicking and every magic item I have is from lv4 chests. I do not and have not had magic caps or bandanas only jester hats and only 2 in around 1500+ magic items.

wouldn't it be easy for derrick to tell us if they have a chance to spawn?

Me too. But I am fairly certain that some items, like jester's hat, wide brim hat, banana, etc., never come in the magic variety in chests. Was just curious if it was intentional, as it struck me as unintentional.

It does seem even if they do spawn that they should be as common as the other head wear and boots. not rarer then rocking horse shit

I know what you ment. but what I'm saying is in SOS chests / t-map chests they spawn all hats/masks with bonuses all the time, very common. I can only rember finding non-magic masks in sos/t-maps not hats. So surely the dungeon chests should be the same.
