How To Setup A Title Bar Using Razor
How To Setup a Title Bar Using Razor:
**If you want files from outside of the UO Client Files, you will need to use a program like Mulpatcher to update the UO Client .MUL files, then you will need to follow these steps.
In order to add an icon from the UO Client files, do this:
First off, it is Easiest to use the "Target" button in Razor pictured below to get the information you need.
You can also get this information from InsideUO.
This is handy to know for more customized Title Bars and for helping you setup Razor Macros.
Using InsideUO:
Search for your Item in the Artwork Section of InsideUO.
Select the item so you can see its ID.
In this example, we're adding Purple Potions to better track your Explosive Needs.
As you can see, Purple Potion has a "Model No." of 3853 and a name of Purple Potion.
This is the information we need to Customize UO's Title Bar.
Using Razor:
In Razor, navigate to the Displays/Counters Tab and Click on the "Add..."
Button on the bottom left.
This will bring up this box:
Enter in the appropriate information from InsideUO
-or-
use the "Target" Button in Razor:
Notice that in the "Format:" box I put in "pp" for Purple Potion.
This abbreviation can be whatever you want it to be, but it is important to
remember it for the following steps as it is what Razor uses.
Click "Okay".
Now you need to check the Check Box to include it in the Title Bar:
Next, you need to go over to the Text Box on the right where it says: "Title Bar Display".
In this box you will need to add {pp} to tell Razor to Display Purple Potions in your title bar.
Again, this is whatever you entered in the "Format:" box above.
Now you should start to see Purple Potions in your Ultima Online Client Title Bar. Enjoy!

Re: How To Setup A Title Bar Using Razor
Nice guide.
Question though: can't you just use the target button on this screen instead of using InsideUO?
Or does InsideUO allow for other options that you can't target from within razor?

Inside UO is a very cool program, but I don't believe it's necessary for setting up your title bar like this. As Rhakarth mentions, you can use the Target function to get the ID number of an item.

I did say to use Razor, I just presented an alternative for doing it, also. I could clarify it more, I suppose.Light Shade wrote:Find the program "InsideUO"...or find the item in-game with Razor and target it.

I use the blue/white theme to this forum, so I can't see your yellow text very well. Regardless, you've got two screenshots covering an entire page worth of space, talking about an extraneous program that's not needed... versus half a sentence that explains the easy/normal way that people do things. Just thought I'd highlight the easy/normal way.

Re: How To Setup A Title Bar Using Razor
InsideUO is very useful, in a general sense, for Razor. Myself, I don't even use the "Click" method to make a title bar. I open up the Razor files in Notepad and just put them in by hand. I can actually do it faster that way using InsideUO.Mikel123 wrote:I use the blue/white theme to this forum, so I can't see your yellow text very well. I'm not even getting into its uses for writing your razor macros by hand instead of having to click and reset everything constantly in Razor.
Anywho, I edited the original post to make it a bit more clearer for people who were skimming more than reading.

I just tried that theme just out of curiosity and woah! It gave me a headache inside of 10 seconds. Never again.Mikel123 wrote:I use the blue/white theme to this forum, so I can't see your yellow text very well.

I'm helping out some newbs and they can't get the title bar displays/counters to work in Windows 8.
Windows 8 doesn't have the same options (visual themes/desktop composition) to change...
