Shut Down the Rotten Tooth

Image

Surprise, surprise! The Rotten Tooth Tavern is at the center of more criminal activity. The good people of Britannia will not stand for it any longer! Lord British is establishing a task-force to eliminate criminals throughout the land. More information about this is to be released later this month.

In the meantime, anyone willing to assist Lord British should be on the look out for the tavern owner. The Owner, Mateo, is a drunken buffoon wrestler and has more connections than the Papua Tailor. Do not try to apprehend Mateo yourself. In fact... stay away from this hooligan! For now, focus on his network. Take down the bandits in the woods outside of Britain and Vesper.

Marcus the Bounty Hunter can be found at Lord British's castle, in the late Jersen's office. He's seeking the heart of bandits as proof of their deaths.

Main Adventure
Marcus the Bounty Hunter in Britain is looking for your help. Approach him and say Hello Marcus!

Note: Marcus isn't the brightest crayon in the box.. he's a few pickles short of a barrel, and is hardly playing with a full deck. What does this mean? You can use any hearts to complete this quest. Event spawns have a higher chance of dropping hearts than other NPCs.

Notes for Exploration and Gameplay

Interacting with NPCs
NPCs can get "confused" when too many players are standing next to them in groups saying random trigger words, so if you are having trouble advancing, have extra characters nearby remain quiet, or step at least 3-4 tiles away for best results. If a quest NPC becomes non-responsive, wait a full minute and try again.

Event Regions
If you find bronze ore or bronze ingots, you might be in an event region.

Event Drops
Event monsters have a chance to drop their standard loot, silver coins, and Sweeping Justice trophies. You can also find "dwarven copper"on event creatures. This is a non-currency, temporary quest object which can be traded in later for event-specific prizes. Players can freely trade or sell these to each other. At the end of the event series, these coins will begin disappearing.

Great event so far! The camp leader spawn is where its at, they are always dropping at least a silver coin, sometimes a trophy and sometimes a dwarf copper.

Any character with stealing has an advantage as all the rare drops can be stolen from the backpack of the mobs, so get out there thieves!

Also a little information... I have marked runes to all currently known event areas and NPC's, runes can be found in my library here...

Image

Camp leaders are re-spawning about every 15-25 mins, so this is a great consistent source for silver. I really love the consistency here. Also the regular mobs go down quick and have a decent silver drop rate as well.

Good luck wizards!

Mateo’s Caught

Britannians can rest well tonight. Lord British’s guards have taken over the Rotten Tooth Tavern. Mateo and his band of hooligans have been arrested.

Image

Mateo's forces were drawn thin as groups of adventurers ransacked his training camps over the last few days. This was the perfect distraction to allow Britain’s finest soldiers to catch Mateo off guard. These criminals have been taken to the prison and await trial.

Image

Main Adventure
Travel to the Prison in Yew to see if you can help with keeping these criminals secure.

Side Adventure
Continue to keep pressure on Mateo’s camps.

A Trial in Yew

Good news for once!

Lord British's taskforce has rounded up the center of Britannia’s underground crime world. Mateo and his hooligans have been sweating it out in prison beyond the Court of Truth.

This morning, Mateo's trial was date was set.

Image

The trial is scheduled to take place on the evening of September 23rd at 8pm (eastern). Local officials in Yew fear for the town’s safety, as hordes of Mateo’s followers are said to be traveling towards Yew in anticipation of the event.

The guards of Yew have one primary duty: protect their citizens. Therefore, the Court of Truth will be entirely unguarded and will need the support of good Britannians. The trial must be completed before justice can be served. If the party wipes or the trial is unable to complete, it will impact the storyline.

The goal is to keep the trial from being interrupted by the incoming invaders. Waves of thugs, bandits, and other questionable characters will make their way through the halls of the courthouse. There may even be some rogue players to watch out for too.

In the time leading up to the event, you'll be able to a court official and receive a quest scroll for helping out. The quest will require you to slay (NPC) invaders who try to interrupt the trial. The quest is non-repeatable and must be completed by the time the trial event ends.

Main Adventure
Attend Mateo's Trial this Saturday. Protect the Court!

Additional Adventures
The bandits and hooligans are in the woods outside of Yew. Don't let their presence scare the locals!

Notes about this Event
  1. This is a PvM "Tower Defense" type of event.
  2. AOE and Summon spells will be disabled during the event.
  3. The town of Yew will remain guarded during the event.
  4. There will be no guards within the Court of Truth - anything within the outer walls of the Court and on the peninsula to the north.
  5. Theft and PKing are permitted during the event.
  6. An in-game broadcast will be made before guardzone is disabled and before it is re-enabled.

WiseGuys Mob is seeking your help for the whereabouts of Judge Zared before the Mateo Trial on Saturday.

We need to have a little talk...

These citizens pictured below said they don't know where the Judge is hiding before the trial...

Where was the Justice Guild or your American Hero for these folks...

As we were spread too thin, the Justice guild has been rallying and training its troops while combing the woods for would be Mateo supporters. We anticipate increased criminal activity near Yew until the Trial begins and will be there to support the city in her time of need. Any Mateo supporters will be dealt with by this Grand Army of Justice. Fox we are officially sorry for your loss, but fear not these Wise Guys will meet their end and you shall be avenged.
