Garth's Shadow
It's been months since Lord British's sweeping justice across Britannia. The message was loud and clear.

Ever since Mateo was assassinated and his followers slain without trial, villains haven't dared to show their faces in any city.

There is one uncertainty from the recent events. Where's Garth Gooblenubin? He disappeared in the laboratory beneath the city, never showing his face during the his would-be final showdown.

This is UOSA's next active world event and will require the citizens of Britannia to unravel the story.

Notes for Exploration and Gameplay:

Interacting with NPCs
NPCs can get "confused" when too many players are standing next to them in groups saying random trigger words, so if you are having trouble advancing, have extra characters nearby remain quiet, or step at least 3-4 tiles away for best results. If a quest NPC becomes non-responsive, wait a full minute and try again.

Event Drops
Event monsters have a chance to drop their standard loot, silver coins, and Garth's Shadow trophies.

Event Chapters

Chapter 1 - Dead Horse Walking

Edwin FitzOwen and Smith were contracted a job to escort an undisclosed artifact from Vesper Customs to the city of Britain. The party's journey took a group of brave adventurers from Trinsic to Vesper to pick up the artifact.

On the way out of Vesper, the group was ambushed by an endless army of brigands. They were relentless. Smith, the talking pack horse was slain on the road and the contents of his packs stolen by a shadowy figure!

A belligerent beggar in the woods near Minoc claims to have seen the shadowy figure. He said the thief was a man with wings speaking a horrible indecipherable language. Anyone with homes in the following zone should be extremely cautious when traveling to and from your house. It's recommended to keep your doors locked.

The beggar's ramblings appear to be true. "Winged men" have been spotted in the woods North of Vesper. The Gargoyle Army has returned.

Chapter 2 - Stolen Sigils

A scout from Vesper said the Gargoyle Sigil had been taken from the Shrine of Sacrifice. With the Sigil gone, the Gargoyles were able to return. They have setup a camp at the Shrine of Sacrifice.

It's imperative that no other Sigils are lost, or Lord Draxinusom's army will be able to return to Britannia.

Lord British's council has asked people across the continent to keep a watchful eye on our Shrines. Any gargoyles, thugs, or evil-doers should be dispatched with haste!

Chapter 3 - Siege on Vesper

Gargoyles have marched into the streets of Vesper, sending residents running.

Help us take back the city of Vesper by pushing the Gargoyle Army back into the woods. Battle in the streets of Vesper.

Chapter 4 - The Hedge Maze

The Gargoyle army marched through the streets for Vesper for many days. Brave citizens fought day and night to push the invaders out of town and heading into the woods.

A map on the battlefield shows that the Gargoyles are heading to Relvinian's tower near Skara Brae. There's fear that they are going to summon their Lord Draxinusom, the Gargoyle Overlord.

Keep pressure on the amassing Gargoyle Army at the hedge maze. Talk to the Skara Brae Guard Captain for more information.

Chapter 5 - House of Baths

Criminals gathering at the House of Baths is nothing new. Next to the Rotten Tooth Tavern, this gathering spot has been a favorite of criminals dating back to the Age of Darkness.

We've intercepted a message,a call to arms for Draxinusom's followers and the remaining members of McPry's crew to gather in Buccaneer's Den.

This rally is expected to last a few weeks. Eventually, a leader among pirates and gargoyles will emerge and their taskforce will strike it's first target.

Visit the Captain near the crossroads outside of Vesper to see how you can help.

Chapter 6 - Skull Island Laboratory

The Pirates and Gargoyles are gathering in the smuggling tunnels under Skull Island. Intelligence sources lead us to believe there's a plot to bring banished beasts from the lost lands into Britannia, causing disruption and further chaos while Garth continues to grow in power.

To combat the pending threat, Lord British's team has blasted the tunnel's exit, trapping the criminals inside. It's your job to keep the tunnels clear of Gargoyles and Pirates and await further orders.

Chapter 7 - Fire Temple Refuge

The Pirates and Gargoyles have split up. There are still pirates lingering in the tunnels under Skull Island, but the Gargoyles have sailed to the Isle of the Avatar - specifically, the Fire Temple.

Head to the Fire Temple to combat the Gargoyle horde, or continue to keep pressure on the pirates in the tunnels under Skull Island. The choice is yours!

Chapter 8 - The Den of Villains - Level 1

You know what they say, you can't keep an evil man down! The Rotten Tooth Tavern may have been shut down for good, but evil persists.

Under the Fire Temple on the Isle of the Avatar lays a secret dungeon known as the Den of Villains.

Inside the Den are tributes to past evil lords such as Nate the Prophet, Juo'nor the Lich, and even Martin the Actor. You'll find creatures ranging from past event series.

Chapter 9 - The Chamber of Villains (Den of Villains Level 3)

The Seal has been broken! The barrier at the end of Death's Row has vanished, leaving behind a path of smoke. Stepping through the smoke brings you into the third floor of the Den of Villains.

Chapter 10 - Lords of the Underworld

We discovered a passage way in the Chamber of Villains which leads to the most unholy throne room in all the land. It is said that Evil essence, harvested from the souls of dead criminals gathers within the walls of this dungeon...

Chapter 11 - Battle with Worldslayer and Garth

This event ran from August 24th through August 26th. Ultimately, Wordslayer and Garth were defeated. Below are highlights from the battlefield.

Edwin and AoJ went on the search for clues to the whereabouts of this shadowy figures and stumbled across a belligerent beggar. We took him in for questioning that led us to an area north of Vesper that had an alarming rate of Gargoyles and evil mages! The purpose of this collection of fiends is yet to be discovered but this is what we know so far.

We found the beggar spouting off randomness on a pile of fur rugs here:

She was very drunk!

We decided to take her in for questioning to let her sober up a bit.

She spoke of a winged army so we sent people out to comb the area and found this north of Vesper

We have been able to defeat several winged fiends of this army but there seems to be no end to their reinforcements

Ok I got to the end of the event.

At the end of the event you notice that AoJ is full of newbs so you take all their loot - the end ?

I might not have been playing as much lately but I find it unlikely that Integra is any less of a s***stain in this game as when I left.
