As the orcs gathered in the fort, they exchanged their usual greetings.
To warm up on tactics, we played games of krimping the target. Basically we practice blocking someone in where they can't run away anymore. To make it more challenging, we make rules where you can't use weapons and you can't use magic. Only using your body to block the person in on all four sides. One orc played the runner, the others attempted to krimp him.
Shortly thereafter, the runner was blocked in and couldn't get out.
One orc seemed to think he could attack the runner the entire time. So after the last runner was krimped, we allowed the attacking orc to become the runner. There was one exception, he could be attacked just as he attacked the last runner. The chase was on!
Of course his being blocked in meant his death. Orc life hard.
In came our mighty chieftain, Kraarug the Choomer.
We lined up to go over a few clan rules for battles. Everyone needs a little reminding that we are here for good fun and to provide it as well. Our enemies are our enemies, but without them we would be picking our noses in the fort alone.
After the bit of seriousness, we all sat down to enjoy an excellent story about Drug'gar the Mighty. I'm sure the next story will be of Leduruk the Butcher.
We recieved reports of humans approaching so Elder Nerull began giving klergblud (hyping up for war) to the orcs.
We all lined up for one final checkover before the war.
A little final motivation speeches...
And they arrived.
A few came pouring in with reckless abandon and were soon trapped inside a fort full of orcs with no way out.
Several of the humans caught on fast to not charge headon into orcs. The hit and run tactics started with very few humans coming into the doors of our fort. They were using their heads and the orcs had to fight over the walls of the fort.
To help calm their mages from doing much damage to us and to help create a little panic, the orcs began summoning energy vortexs and blade spirits.
Losses were being felt on both sides. The orcs were doing a great job at defending their homeland, but the humans were extremely persistant and it paid off as several orcs were entered into the spirit realm.
The battle only got more intense.
The humans were getting more confident in entering the fort as they thinned our force down a little. More than not, entering the fort proved to be fatal.
Demons were summoned and sent attacking opposing forces of both sides. It was absolutely an all our war.
We made one final charge to both run off the remaining humans and also let them know that they fought very well.
After the battle, we lined up and celebrated a great fight. The orcs and humans both did a great job and it was alot of fun for everyone.
Thanks to UOH for providing us with such a great time. I hope they had just as much fun as we did. It was a joy to see the warriors stand against us at our front door and fight us weapon to weapon. All fights are fun, but it is always a special treat when someone fights in our shoes so to say.
