Re: Should Stables limits be increased?
my rabbits thank you people who take ur drags out they r nestled quite nicely into there bales of hay in the stables. Btw i feel i am no lamer than you guys who have 30 drags to go "hunting" with them and I just replace them in the stables.

This is sad. Every stable is full; all of them.

I'll go ahead and take the position that you are a lamer, as I only hunt with one or two dragons.Btw i feel i am no lamer than you guys who have 30 drags to go "hunting" with them and I just replace them in the stables.
I'm going to take this time to train vet instead of hunting with my tamer and hope this blows over. I really don't know what started this slot hoarding and I don't know what its going to take to stop it, but it really needs to end.

No No...stick to your guns. No change happens if we find ways to make it work!Tiwstacain wrote:i could perhaps sell some of these slots i have aquired for a rather large fee

If the limits on stables are increased beyond era-accurate levels, I would expect the landmass to be expanded so we can all place castles too...

The old "if you do this, you have to do this too" technique.

the old if we bitch and cry about era accurate mechanics maybe it will be changed because the tamers are upsetGuardianKnight wrote:MatronDeWinter wrote:If the limits on stables are increased beyond era-accurate levels, I would expect the landmass to be expanded so we can all place castles too...

Re: Should Stables limits be increased?
Increasing the stable size will only lead to tamers having 100+ drags to pull out of the stables. We will reach the max capacity, and recreate this post ad infinitum.

Re: Should Stables limits be increased?
I recognize that there really isn't an option here other than to embrace era accurate mechanics, which is the current state of things. [I'd like to know what the full capacity for a stable is, honestly. Always been curious about that.] The point is that there should be enough slots to go around with our population size. Right now we have some hoarders with 30 dragons and 100 mounts and some jackasses with 300 cats in the stables. Neither is tolerable. As is, I currently have 12 slots between 4 different stables which are occupied by 11 dragons and 1 extra mount. Such is sufficient for me, but any new tamers are absolutely screwed. Anyone who wants a slot to hold an extra horse or two in their "home" city is screwed. The state of things is unacceptable, but we are bound by era accurate mechanics.
Re: Should Stables limits be increased?
i don't have a tamer right now, so really i do not care. it is prolly just another accurate mechanic that given todays possibilities becomes an abomination. sure, it is not in the spirit of the '99 game and probably osi would have done something against it. but the goal of this shard is not to recreate the spirit of the old days, but only the mechanics. and so we have to live with this. except you maybe find some appealing argument why this is a deal breaker, or a nice policy decision to circumvent the problem or some proof that the mechanic is simply wrong.
the sad thing for me is: as much as i love to play uosa and as much as i appreciate the effort derrick, nevermore, kaivan & co put in this shard: this thread - together with other threads on topics like ghosting, tourney system and whatnot - always leaves me with a sour feeling that this shard falls short of its potential.
still i would'nt want to play anywhere else.
just my two cents.
