1) Buying (or pretending to) something, 2) getting (and keeping) said item/s and 3) not paying (gold or $ is irrelevant) is considered a scam by most people in the world.
If you plain up say "haha not paying" or do it in an elaborate way "haha not paying and getting you banned" really doesn't change the fact that you fulfilled every required step of howtoscam101.

If someone offered me items for IRL cash, that is against the rules and they would be reported.
