I'm game, if I can picked up from Brit at that time. Sounds like fun. You should go trap a wandering healer inside to make rezzing easier.

Would have been a good event for me if you didn't change the rules at the last minute, then ban me because I didn't see the rule change in a sea of text.
Way to waste an hour of my time.

Well, if we hadn't, the event would have ended very quickly with no effort. I'd much rather make 1 rule change then to allow hours of prep and everyone else's time go to waste.
1. Rules were stated before the 1st fight
2. Your bladespirit was booted when you cast it
3. Rules were stated before 2nd fight
4. When you began casting again, you were booted.
5. When you came back casting again, you were banned.
We were all very busy, and did not have the time to dedicate a customer rep to review the ban. What was happening though, was a threat to the event completely and had to be addressed sternly.

I really had a great time at this event . I am looking forward to the next one. I would like to offer a tip to those attending events like this is to keep your journal open to see instructions. As was mentioned text goes by fast so if you have your journal open it makes it easier to see instructions.

1. I apparently missed that.
2. I assumed someone thought it was either casted by a character outside of the rink, or misunderstood the fact that a 50/50 char can cast it. After this point, I went around spamming "I casted the blade and I'm a newb char." Nobody said anything.
3. I was reading the forum to double check the rules, so I apparently missed this. I had also explained to matron and wise that nobody had a poison weapon, and that my blade spirit had poisoned the drake. NOBODY said anything about blade spirits not being permitted.
4. After being booted, I ran up to Wise and asked repeatedly why I was booted. He was confused and I got no answer. I reiterated that I was a new character and was able to cast blade spirits
5. After I was banned, it took me a few minutes to get an explanation on my main character.
There were also people casting efields etc from outside of the rink. Given that there was no mention whatsoever about blade spirits not being allowed on the forum rules, I figured, quite reasonably I think, that my blade spirits were mistaken as exogenous.
Basically, I'm miffed because I showed up on time for the event, waited a long time for the event's delayed start, and then got banned right as the actual event began. A simple "No Summons" or whatnot before clicking remove thyself would have done the trick perfectly.

We've talked. Given the resources and strain on the staff, I think the best decisions were made to ensure enjoyment for all. I will try to make communication more clear in the future.

Great effort guys. It was a lot of fun to attend. I walked away with 5k in gold, a lvl 4 T-Map, and a lvl 1 T-map, I would have been happy with no loot though--you guys must do this again sometime.
