Competition - What do you keep in your bank box?

Post by Sultan of Swing »

Competition for most interesting/exciting bank box.

Prizes are as follows:

- 1st prize: 10k
- 2nd prize: 5k
- 3rd prize: 2.5k

Rules are simple:

- Take a pic of your bank box or an item(s) you keep in your bank box and post it with a description.
- The bank box does not necessarily need to contain any items of any significance or value as you may have an interesting story that accompanies your bank box or something silly you keep it in it.
- Limit of 3 entries per player

I will let this competition run for two weeks (until 2nd February approx), if it proves popular i'll increase the prize fund.

Goodluck,

Sultan.

I'll start us off:

I never sell the gems I collect off chests/t-maps/monsters, instead I just dump them in the bank. I've recently noticed i've accumulated about 1000 of each gem.
I went to the jeweller to see what they would be worth and was pleasently surprised:

978 x Amber @ 30gp = 29,340gp
868 x Citrine @ 30gp = 26,040gp
1061 x Tourmaline @ 45gp = 47,745gp
986 x Ruby @ 45gp = 44,370gp
868 x Amethyst @ 60gp = 52,080gp
1021 x Emerald @ 60gp = 61,260gp
1043 x Sapphire @ 60gp = 62,580gp
1030 x Star Sapphire @ 75gp = 77,250gp
1006 x Diamond @ 120gp = 120,720gp

TOTAL = 521,385gp

not bad?, not an exciting story or interesting items but just made me wonder what other folks might have in their bank boxes?

I logged in just to take screens of my collection of interesting items.

Image

The main box contains (on the top row left to right):

1. The bandanna I wore at chainsoar and Pristiq's wedding
2. One of my earliest hats. I now wear a brown hat.
3. My B-D dye tub and B-D robe. I used these a lot when I was petitioning B-D for membership.

(bottom row left to right)

4. The Bregan D'aerthe Fishing Vessel, acquired from a castle that was stolen moments later. This ship usually sits outside my shop when I am not on hiatus.
5. The heart of Maahes.
6. A Mongbat Juice. Drinking it turns you into a mongbat for a few minutes.
7. Two tropies: A Second Year Anniversary and a Operation Mongbat Map.

The pouch contains:

8. A trophy on loan from the Real Hemperor.
9. My world famous rare manuscripts collection, which I will for the first time now share with the world.

First, we have love poems from some random chumbucket groupie who also happened to be some sort of rhyming prodigy. She would leave one of these things everyday on her doorstep!

Next we have my personal collection of interesting and rare manuscripts.

This first fellow totally owned cA in OMGLEETPVP.

Image

Jexl was an old member of cA. I found this long after he had disappeared.

Image

This next one I found in a tower I was attempting to loot. The tower was empty. It seems a copycat had beaten me to the punch.

I stole this guy's boat. I offered it back to him provided he would say "I R NEW BOAT PLS." He declined.

Image

I have two of these, but I'm not sure if they would still be honored.

Image

The original copy of the infamous "For Calista of B-D." This now spawns on bookshelves in the world right alongside with all the semi-retarded scribblings of Richard Garriot.

Finally, I have on loan the original manuscripts of the underrated saga of the Real Hemperor.

My bank is fairly basic. I still live by the idea that my most valuable possessions should be kept in my house for a possible future decay of the house and go to the people in more need of the goods than I am.

This is what I have (Basically what any newb should have):
  • Some basic runes and a runebook to rune libraries and mi old Village location (I WILL RECLAIM IT!).
  • Recall scrolls
  • House key (Dunno why I'd ever want that one, since if I lose my current key, I'll just replace the locks. Suppose it just automatically gets placed there.)
  • Lockpicks (from the days when I liked to look at what ppl had in their drawer of unmentionables)
  • Some backup regs
  • Munni!

i dont want to nitpick sultan, but putting gold into deed form takes up more space than leaving it in gold piles
you are reducing your banks item count while you can just pile gold into stacks on the same spot!
