Multiple clients in CTF game - Admin please read

nOgAnOo had 4 accounts logged in somehow to the ctf. Lets look past the fact that you should only be allowed 3 per ip for a minute. He signed all his characters up on different teams and proceeded to ruin CTF tonight since they were just sitting there. He also netted himself at least 2 trophies. After several warnings from the others about it he proceeds to do the exact same thing in following DDom event. I have a couple RPVs, one before the match one after. The characters Smurphette, Sarah, and Sarita are the characters nOgAnOo used to exploit the events. I'm extremely angry over this. I have two RPVs saved(how do i upload?) proving what I say is true, and several other players will back the claim up.

Also, how does he have 4 accounts?

aye, i was also there for the event.
and i also disapointed with how nOnAnOo exploit this and ruined the game for others.
how can this be prevented?
the trophies are for participation not farming.

Agreed, you shouldn't be allowed to do that, and it should be enforced so. Then again it is hard to get proof.

I believe in our staff though :D

Simple solution: remove inactive players (have a timer for movement and if they don't move they auto-removed)
This was a HUGE problem on DFI when I played there since the CTF rewards were of high demand.. this was declared a bannable offense on DFI

I'm not saying ban nogono, I think the events need a lil more revamping before this gets fixed: I can return one flag in a CTF or capture one square in DblDom, then literally quit playing and stand there the rest of the fight and be the team leader.. TONS of games i've played i would be the only player doing anything and I wouldnt be the team leader.. the person who quit playing won the 2pointer.. Baffling me lol

Anyways this is very lame what he's doing, but i think the way the trophies are given out is even lamer: fix it so that the best player on the team gets the team leader trophy; not the person who dies the least since ppl just stop playing after returning a flag or capturing a square

The trophies were taken. It should be implicitly clear to everyone with a grasp of reason that this kind of thing is not acceptable. We will soon be implementing a system that will allow us to ban players from event participation for a time-frame consistent with what's occurred.

Ruining an event for other players is a pretty serious offence and will never be taken lightly. While we're putting some rules together, use this as a basic guideline: Don't join an event that you do not intend to participate in.

Not sure if it's even possible to implement, but how about some ip filter/scan that only allows 1 character/ip to join an event at the same time?

That would work better; Using Scooby's movement time has a flaw, as sometimes dexers line up to block an entrance ready to fight. Not moving, even though they are actively playing.

We do have that feature available, but some people do play from behind the same IP in events.
There are now signs up in the event join areas that state the rules, and we now have the ability to ban players from event participation. Also, all trophy awards are logged so it's not much of a problem to find out who has been doing this.

You can't do this because it wouldn't be able to take NAT into account, where people would have the same IP and yet legitimately have separate accounts.
