Equippable Lute
Does anyone remember being able to equip a lute in T2A? I started UO when UO:R came out and I distinctly remember lutes being equippable at some point, but I'm not sure if it was that way in T2A. Also, I don't know if it worked with other instruments.
EDIT: Wow, I realized a big mistake here. I didn't search before I posted. Sorry if this was already brought up. :S

Save yourself the shame and embarrassment and just assume that if you can't understand me...you're the one who's retarded.

Re: Equippable Lute
Hmm...I'm certain I equipped a lute as some point or another during my first days playing UO in 2001, so I was just curious if it ever happened in T2A.
Maybe I had some weird, special equippable lute. D:

Re: Equippable Lute
Perhaps you're thinking of Everquest where you could equip instruments!

Re: Equippable Lute
I have yet to see a graphic in the Gumpart.mul files that correspond to a lute.
Bondage gear, yes.
Whips, yes.
Loincloths, yes.
But no lute.
AFAIK

Re: Equippable Lute
I am most certainly not thinking of EverQuest. The topic is pointless now, anyhow. But, I do remember having equipped a lute before, but I did look in the gump art file, as well, and didn't see anything. Mayhaps my memory is failing me. It's so odd because I feel like it happened, maybe I was wrong. Thanks guys.
Wait! Something just came back to me. I think it was that I would try to equip my lute and the transparent gump art would appear in my hand, but it would never let me equip it. Maybe they were planning it, but never got around to making the animations for it or the other instruments at all.

Re: Equippable Lute
I just loaded up the gump muls from v1.25, the earliest full release.. No lute.
Did you play during the beta, or the alpha?

Re: Equippable Lute
I started during UO: Renaissance, but my curiosity was about whether or not this occurred in T2A. I am 100% certain that I remember seeing a lute paperdoll gump. They must have taken it out.
