i run across the skeletal remains of a Wandering Healer (killed by urks)
when you click the bones it gives you the message in Picture 1
if you open or remove something from the body you become Criminal. See picture #2

But it isn't a monster corpse, it should be a human corpse.

I seen a screenshot of a blue ettin in forums today...it was a guildmaster named Omi!
I thought maybe he was hiding behind it.You are supposed to be grey polymorphed.
Sounds all fishy to me.

Wait was Beverlea an orc healer?!

If you cut up the NPC corpse, the bones will remain blue to others. Same applies to player corpses.

However, UOSA partially has looting NPCs incorrect. The killer of the NPC will see the NPC corpse as grey - it should appear blue. It seems to be a byproduct of the UO:R looting rights in the RunUO code.

If you cut the corpse up (turn it into bones), it will be a criminal act for anyone but the killer to loot it. That part is era accurate.
are you suppose to turn criminal just for snooping a bag on the body(bones)?

Yeah, any action performed using an item within the bones container should turn you grey. You are allowed to look, but not touch ;)

NPC corpses don't turn to bones like player corpses do. This one must have been cut up. Using a dagger on a corpse will turn it to bones and gererate body parts, but not allow the corpse to be lootable until the standard time has passed (8ish mins). For NPC's after that initial time has past, the corpse goes away; for players, it turns to bones and becaome lootable (grey).

Not sure.
iirc manipulating items on a blue corpse in almost anyway was criminal at least throughout t2a and through to present day on osi. This included opening containers.

A notable exception is you can dye things on a corpse without flagging.
