Testing server

I connected into the testing server, I thought it would allow me to play around with mechanics and time/spawning items and the like.
Is there an option for that? or is that only for GM's?

Derrick would be the best person to answer this, but the test server changes and is not always up for people to log into. Sometimes it starts you with gold and supplies, sometimes it does not. It depends on what is being tested, I suppose.
There has been some discussion as to people playing test server and not the real server, so perhaps they only put all the "goodies" in when they are actually needed to test something. Its been awhile since the Test Server started people with banks full of items and gold.
