Bard locations

I played a tamer in osi and never a bard.
What locations are good for provo bards. Ive recalled into a few locations and it gets iffy with all the mobs around.
Do you just keep provoking the mobs onto the big mobs or do you use like blade spirits/EV on big mobs and provo trash mobs.
