UO Second Age

This may be answered somewhere but I couldn't find it. Been thinking of adding lore/vet to one of my melee characters and purchasing a mare to help clear out my farming locations, is it possible with just GM lore to control a mare or at least keep it from going crazy once I dismount? Will I be able to remount once the fighting is all done? Or is this just a silly idea..

GM lore with no taming won't allow you to control the mare

Thanks for the info, is there a happy medium or do I have to have min lore/taming for every creature to control it?

You can control a nightmare with some success with about 90/GM, but you better have a bunch of food handy.
