Private Mining Bay?

Post by Nystal »

So it appears a huge section of water based mountain has been blocked off (very cleverly) using boats.

I was wondering if this is even legal? its a HUGE section of map for someone to have taken for private use.

It appears that this southern gentleman has garnered himself an unchallengeable monopoly on this corner of the mining business.

Good for his business, bad for fair competition.

It is cool, and I'm very jealous of whoever owns it. Don't know what the Ore types inside are but as far as mining and/or macroing a red safely - amazing. I hope whoever has done it doesn't take it as an excuse to macro mining unattended.

I did consider camping it and killing, but sadly that wont get me into the bay, just make me feel better!

So long as they aren't using the bay to mine unattended.

As for legality, that is certainly something that could be addressed. There was another bay that was blocked off a while ago and Derrick burnt all their ships down. ;)

This is no different than wyvern island/wyvern point being blocked by boats. It's not as useful as you may think.

Their Opinion Can Be Easily Extrapolated By Asking Yourself: What Would OSI Do? And Then Determine The Exact Opposite. E.g. This Would Be Bannable Offense On Osi, Here On T2A They Probably Can't Care Less.

I personally think this is sick and wonder how long it's been there. I'm sure his boats will spontaneously combust if he is afk mining. The real question is, if he is afk mining, why draw attention by blocking it off?
