Go over to Papua/Del and tame one yourself. In fact, you
can tame horses/ostards at 50 for all your chars and never
have to buy another from a stable or players.
You will have to train up the chars stats a bit, but that
doesn't take much time.
Upper Moonglow magic will get you over to Papua.

I should say that you will have to exit T2A on a mount from Del not
Papua magic, as the mount will stay if you try and exit there. Threw
Del you can ride out thru the cave.
