Royce was the greatest ever.
My first/blood cousin Mark, and myself, watched all the first UFCs back in 1993-1994 and it changed our lives.
It changed his life SO much that he actually moved to Salt Lake City and became a black belt under Hickison Gracie (Royces brother, who was actually better then Royce, Hickisons record was 453-0 or some shit, look it up!)
Anyways, he is now like a 4th degree black belt in Gracie Ju Jitsu. I miss when UFC was no time limit, no judges, and you had to fight multiple fights a night. Strikes to the back of the head were legal and it wasnt as trammeled as it is today. But its still great today, I just prefer the old days.

Rickson Gracie's straight jiu-jitsu record was a flawless 400-0 or whatever the myth is. In straight jiu-jitsu tournaments there is no striking of any sort (no knees, elbows, punches or kicks) allowed but his MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) record was still incredible, 11-0 with all wins via submission. He was a straight up killer! As a jiu-jitsu practitioner I have immense respect for both those guys. They revolutionized fighting and made the sport evolve to what it is today. It was almost like a freak show back then watching the UFC, very limited rules and no weight classes. Everyone who entered had only one discipline and the intent was to showcase which style of fighting was the best. We know today, that there is no "best style" of fighting, It's not jiu-jitsu, muay thai, boxing, wrestling, or all of the above. The "best style" is a combination of all disciplines by only using the most effective techniques against your opponent.

Can I get a more explicit statement of rules?

My understanding is
1) Pots ok
2) Magic armor & weapons
3) no magic casting
4) bandages ok
5) no scrolls
6) no tames
7) no mahic jewelry
8) cant hide nor stealth

So basically its a dexxer free for all??

By the way, well said retro, I agree.
