UOSA Wiki Work-around

The wiki has been inaccessible for about a week due to a change that requires Derrick to adjust a domain setting. The wiki itself does work in it's current place and can be viewed "as normal" by making a small adjustment on your computer. You'll need to add the following to your Windows computer's "host" file

198.54.115.13 wiki.uosecondage.com

Basic instructions based on my own setup, I have included links in the bottom of this post with information from other sources with better details.

1. Locate your host file. My file was in this directory, C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Note: for some people, this file may be read-only. If it's read-only, you'll need to right click on it and in properties, uncheck read-only.

2. Right click on the "host" file and run it as an administrator.

3. Scroll to the bottom and add the following:
198.54.115.13 wiki.uosecondage.com

4. Hit save, and now refresh or try to load http://wiki.uosecondage.com in your web browser. If the site is loading, it worked. You can undo this adjustment by simply deleting the line and re-saving the document at anytime.

As always, it's smart to take a backup of your original host file if you aren't 100% sure you know what you're doing!
