Stealth gain in a house?

Why can't you gain stealth in a house? I understand why hiding doesn't gain...

YOu certainly can gain stealth in your house ... depending on your level of stealth, you might need to start wearing armor!

I will confirm that this is true, and that adding-in bits of (leather) armour can improve your gains at higher levels.

Thanks guys, I'll have to review the wiki again. At 80 stealth I had 16 ar. Would be successful and fail, so I figured that would gain. Did it for like an hour with no gains though...

rofl.... I just found this out, but apparently you need to have you stealth skill set to up instead of down to gain in it...

That helps a lot sir. Though wearing armor is essential at about 80. Plate chest worked for me, maybe added helm
at 90-95. Its been awhile since I GM'd.
