How exactly does one's skill and "real skill" work?
I'm at 83 magery, but "show real" is at 80. Does that mean I only need to reach 97 magery to become GM?
Also what is the purpose of this?
Thanks fellow adventurers!
question about "Show real" stats
Re: question about "Show real" stats
Hello!
This bonus is based on the stat/stats related to the skill. These points counts as real points when it comes to skill success, but it shrinks as you approach GM and reaches 0 at 100.0.

Here's your formula:
(Stat * StatBonus% * [100 - BaseSkill] %) + BaseSkill = ActualAbility

There is no stat bonus when you GM a skill, but this is very useful for people who don't plan on GMing every skill. This was much more useful back in OSI days because being a 7x GM was a bigger accomplishment than it is today. Having your skills boosted a few points without taking away from your 700 skill cap was good.
