Era Accurate tracking? Did ghosts lose their query?

Post by Hoots »

Just found this out while camping an idoc this weekend...

Ghosts still show tracking queries? I tracked a player, who actually turned out to be a healer which is what makes this cool, went afk at an idoc, came back dead and was able to follow my tracking (as the ghost) to the healer.

Is this how it should be? Opens up some interesting doors if this is an accurate mechanic!

ok I'm seeing "tracking" and "Ghosts" and it's starting to make me feel all warm and tingly.

But before I get my hopes up, what could this ultimately mean?

Unfortunately ghosts aren't supposed to be able to use their gumps after death. Any skill that has a gump or is up for targeting should fail if the gump/cursor is still showing after death.

Kavian, I don't think he's stating that he kept the gump up and used it after he died. He's saying he died while actively tracking, and was able to continue tracking as a ghost.

LOL

I can atleast say it is uodemo-accurate :-).

On a side note, if you say the word "stop" (either as ghost or alive) you stop tracking.

correct, alive - Margret is to the southwest

then dead - Margret is to the southwest and followed the tracking the whole way to her. It updated as i went along.
