Wow, I'd say you did very well on conserving your ingots! I started at 50 smithing/49 poisoning. I worked it up to GM mining from 30ish skill trained and pretty much did the Cutlass to 65, kryss to 75, short spear to around 84 and then long spears to the aforementioned like 93ish I think it was (why...

If it's worth it to anyone - I just did a run from 91 to 95.2. I did spears until 93 and switched to plate gloves. I jumped to 95.2 quite quickly and they seemed to smelt ok too. I'm at GM mining as well. I'd say this run cost be about 4.5k ingots... A rate I'm ok with.

Relative newbie report here - Ice Dungeon, Orc Fort by Cove, and Britain graveyard crawling with PKs.... Just my two cents
