Re: Town killed, looted and griefed.
@Nameinuse - Since the beginning of UO, players have denied that the game is analagous to real life in words while proving it absolutely in deeds. I mean it when I say since the beginning . Check this page - http://uo.necrobones.com/c4.shtml - read the entry at the bottom dated Nov 18, 1997 - only 3...

Bought from sircharles today - I went first, smooth deal. Didn't use a broker. +1 for this guy! Thanks!

Re: Patch 149 - Sept 24 2012: Shopkeeper accounting
It was specifically mentioned earlier in this thread that it would kill scribe selling, when in-fact that's the selling least effected. Sorry if you don't find that ironic, but next time don't put words in my mouth just because you can't see the connection. In any case, why it came about is irrelev...

Re: Patch 149 - Sept 24 2012: Shopkeeper accounting
Has anyone had a chance to do any testing from a new players perspective like a bowyer, carpenter or such to see if one logged in and started crafting if they would have any issues going around trying to sell their wares and get established on the server? I had a bag of ~90-100 random non-magic lea...

Re: What Do You Do?
Crummy job not worth describing. The fact that I'm playing games online so much absolutely indicates that currently I don't have an excess of money. If I did, my free time would be spent elsewhere.

Re: GREATEST IDOC EVER!!!! Telamon's Museum is going down!
Where did I say Derrick has to prove anything to anyone? In fact, other than saying "I disagree with the ban", very little of what I've said is opinion. Stripping the house friend list is interfering with what happens to items in game, that's a fact. I agree with much of what you've said....

Re: Dear Staff
Maybe the OP feels like I do that, regardless of the circumstances leading up to the ban, something like this should be regretted and not celebrated. There are sober lessons in what has happened. But there are lessons in the IDOC and the scavenging too. And then again, maybe the OP didn't mean this ...

Re: Help me out?
Well I made it to fire temple or whatever to begin getting some gold... so i could supply skilling up more... within 10 minutes a group of N-S reds ganked me (i can barely recall etc) and then call me a Ni****, fag, pussy, etc. Then gate back out. This shard have a lot of racist douche bags? I mean...

Re: Golden Key stolen near Britain Graveyard
Hello,
For houses, players can change the locks. For boats, players can drydock them which turns it back into a model ship. Once placed again, it gets all new keys. Chances are fantastic that no matter what that key went to, it's useless now.

Re: Which era was the best for you.
Notice that this is the same phenomenon that is occurring when people get tired of dying here nonstop. They go to a server that doesn't have professional pks. Somewhere that that isn't ALL a certain group of players do. This is a big killer for this server. What point is there in learning to pvp is...

Re: Which era was the best for you.
Without Trammel or some Trammel alternative, some things in UO:R don't make sense. Trammel was made to give people, especially new ones, a safe place to farm monsters and resources away from the overwhelming amount of PKs. OSI knew it was a problem, players knew it was a problem, even some PKs knew ...

Re: Town Killings
Then we are in agreement :) I just didn't macro in the most obvious places. ;) ie. banks, stables, mage shops... If you insist on macroing in those locations, you are...in effect...asking for a quick and sure death on this server. = Truth is you would also be town killed if being completely silent i...

Re: Town Killings
In all fairness, I have only been town-killed while macroing one time in the years i've played this server. I must pick the lucky times to log in. I've been killed three times while macroing silent skills (hiding and eval int) in quiet town banks and not saying a word in the past couple of months. ...

Re: Town Killings
Where you macro or what you say or don't say when macroing is irrelevant. Just one BS quasi-justification out of many. Truth is you would also be town killed if being completely silent in the bank of a little-used town. This is how it is; best to understand it and accept it now.

Re: If not Trammel, then what?
There were a lot of good ideas here but I don't think I've ever seen any of them used anywhere. Most everyone says Trammel sucked (it did) but no one addresses the issues that Trammel was created to solve. Trammel wasn't the problem - Trammel was the wrong answer to a problem. I guess in many cases ...
