I haven't done any research, but I did have a GM tinker on OSI and I did quit a month before UO:R and the only difference I can note between tinkering jewelry then and here is that a ring tinkered with a diamond produced a "diamond wedding band" (OSI) not a "diamond ring" (UOSA)....
