The old system was practically AoS 2/6 casting with the addition of 2 second hally hits and insta hit ... You may have enjoyed it more because its a more recent version of UO to some extent and bc it allowed for faster casting of spells overall, but that doesn't make it better. It just makes it diff...

If that's your preference of play, so be it. Nothing wrong with what you choose. That is part of old school UO. There is no "template of the month" ... choice of what you want to play bc they are all effective.

I personally don't see a problem with anything on live. It's very easy to see that people on this server are very 1 dimensional when it comes to fighting. Before this patch, the choice of spells was an ebolt, a debuff, harm, maybe a lightning, mini heal and maybe gh. Then add in the abuse of the hal...

In order for trophy points to be a "gold sink", the gold would have to be removed from the player base ... in a sense deleted. All that is being done is 1 player is giving another player gold for their trophy ... it is the same as if a player kills 6 dragons and then uses the gold for regs...

Yeah, the people that used the game mechanic knows that your swing was ready soon as the target was up not after it dealt damage. The evidence in itself is the 2 second disarm delay in the article. There is only one mention of this delay period. It was clearly stated to be 2 seconds not 2.25, 2.5, ...

On a side note, if you ebolt, let the damage hit and then go for swing, you can do it everytime, and it is ready "AFTER" the ebolt ... maybe not after the cast, but after the cast and damage it is ... ... is there any evidence that supports that you could get a hally swing after an ebolt c...

I dunno how the there is a comparison for rares and trophy points since they are on 2 different ends of the spectrum. Rares require countless hours of trying to find the spawn spots, spawn timers, and competing with a bunch of people that know where and when they spawn. Those people are out in the w...
