Re: About Ready to Dump this Server

Before you consider writing another word of complaint, take a second to look at forum posts back in 2008/2009. Then take a look through posts from mid 2010 to present and you'll realize that 1) This server wasn't always like this but 2) It has been shitty for the past few years, it got steadily wors...

Re: How to fix the LoS Exploit easy

People complaining doesn't mean that there is a problem. They complained about single-cut-bandaids, mount stamina, boat-item-visibility, reveal on stealth-snoop, and so on.. I didn't quote people complaining. I quoted visible instances of people getting killed in their houses due to this feature, w...

Re: How to fix the LoS Exploit easy

Some things are intentionally removed from UOSA (item deeds, and certain exploits like duping) due to their damaging nature, but this LoS thing doesn't hurt anyone. See Troubles[LOS] for further details. Or any of a number of other players or threads. http://forums.uosecondage.com/viewtopic.php?f=4...

Re: Monsters Swarming Houses

You're right, this never happened in era. And it is extremely annoying, not to mention an illogical feature. But if staff thinks they've found some proof that it was this way, everyone's memory of the situation is worthless. I always figured that the staff here actually played during T2A, therefore ...

Re: What do you remember from UO: Renaissance

UO:R Was the beginning of the end of Ultima Online. By end, I mean the end of UO being a good game to play. Although I am not sure of the exact time when Origin sold their game to EA, I'm sure it was right around the time of UO:R. UO:R is essentially an EA version of Ultima Online. I believe that E...

Re: Reds on this server..

I see in no way how rolling a group of 5 would be fun at all. I dont pk because 1) I prefer spending my time to competively pvp not chasing people who dont want to fight 2) I dont need your loot gold is easy to make there is no point in wasting my time gating out your bag of regs 3) I'm not 13 anym...

Re: If not Trammel, then what?

Interesting replies!! That's just what I was hoping for, a wealth of new ideas and viewpoints :D I like the idea of a limited Trammel, the bazookas. A place where new players could learn a few things and build skills before getting thrown to the wolves, yet not somewhere that you would want (nor it ...

Re: If not Trammel, then what?

Can I get a copy of the Cliff's notes or TL;DR notes please? Assuming that you're serious - OSI in 1999 needed a way to attract and keep new players for $$$. "Join and get owned by full-time PK veterans" wasn't working, surprisingly. Telling older players to play nice - not an option. Tel...

If not Trammel, then what?

A post that I made last night got me thinking about this today and wondering if there were really any good alternatives to Trammel.... Yes, we're all here because Trammel sucked. This goes much deeper than that and I'd like to move past that knee-jerk reaction right here in the beginning. Like I sai...

Re: Rules on House Placement

I read that wiki, Hicha. There are houses placed which defy the rules on the wiki. That's why I said "...I'm wondering if there's a hard set of current rules...", because I assumed the wiki is out of date. It also never addressed some points like placing inside guard zone. I won't countera...

Rules on House Placement

I can't figure out any rhyme or reason to house placement here. I've seen some houses on uneven terrain or with grass and other objects coming up through the floor - and open flat areas outside of town with nothing but dot-sized yellow flowers where it says no house can be placed. There are some hou...

And you failed to properly explain why his assertion was wrong. Thus, your remark was simply..."a one-line snide comment without facts, pertinent points, ideas, or any redeeming qualities." I don't know if you're being purposely obtuse just to continue an argument or if you really don't u...

Re: pledge to donate if house-killing bug gets fixed threade

As though predicting the opposite with a snide comment and zero fact or insight makes you brighter... now that's funny And where are your 'facts and insight' that make you so certain Chris is talking out of his arse? Dunno why this needs to be explained, but read his post - it's a one-line snide co...

Not as secluded as your picture makes it look. Got attacked three times by the same noob neighbor PKs while trying to check out the property. They're your neighbors to the north.

Re: PK proof your Taming/Farming Experience

Lame bard tactics v. Lame PK tactics sounds right to me. Of course gankers are going to holler - but not because this isn't right, just because it doesn't suit them. I doubt it will happen but if PvMers used these tips as much as PKs precast-gank the cries would be legendary, which would be just abo...
