I personally would love for the automated events to return....
I also know of people who volunteered to code the fix for the stat avoidance bug. Don't think they were ever given the chance to contribute, but it's definitely better than complaining. It's 2013, bring em back man...

Just for future refrence, I don't recall Derrick saying anything at all about this particular bug. I do, however, remember kaivan claiming that this was an era accurate mechanic.
