I have returned.
Yup, I'm back. For what it's worth I guess. Guild seems to be quite dead, sadly.

Re: The Thirsty Clam Tavern [$$$]: Now Hiring!
I think this is a fantastic idea to get the community together and just have some fun. Atlantic had a simliar establishment in Kazola's tavern and I think it'd be a great idea to have such a place on UOSA. I'd definately be interested in filling the blacksmith slot.
Keep up the good work!

Re: T2A skill advancement modified by server population?
Those are some great finds guys, nice work. I dropped Raph (Designer Dragon) a note asking if he might have some more info that would be useful regarding this issue: From: "Raph Koster" <contact@raphkoster.com> To: <excaliburbane@gmail.com> Subject: RE: Message from BlueMail Date: Monday, ...

Re: T2A skill advancement modified by server population?
The skill gain rate on UOSA is not modified in any way by other players. I do understand(mostly) the system that OSI used in which there was essentially a skill point pool and each player online would draw from that pool when attempting to gain. This is acutally very evident in the T2A demo, where ...

Re: T2A skill advancement modified by server population?
Yeah, I know this was a major source of frustration for blacksmiths at the time (I imagine it was the same for most crafting skills), and even prior to T2A. I found Slyfox's older guide that was on Stratics over at the web archive, and also cross posted on the UBB site at the time. You can find them...

T2A skill advancement modified by server population?
I was wondering, is skill advancement modified by server population? I.E The more people on, using the skill, the slower the advancement? I know this definately applied to blacksmithing, but it doesn't seem to be documented for the rest of the skills, so I have no idea if that's how it worked for th...

Re: Motivations behind some for 'era accuracy'
While I do agree with 100% era accuracy and all that, there are many things that could be improved simply to enhance the game experience. Having the stuck button is needed, because people can and do get stuck for legitamte reasons. Furthermore, gating someone intentionally to a spot that will get th...

Re: A couple of questions.
I realize being a stand around smith maybe difficult if the server population is low (or people do a ton of macroing) but I used to do little but stand around the forge in Britain or Trinsic for 8-10 hours at a time, only leaving to secure more raw materials back in the day. I can wait. Is there a g...

A couple of questions.
Greetings, So I've just signed up and created a blacksmith and I had a couple of questions. I intend to make a GM smith and do my thing selling my wares. I'm a hard core smith and I enjoy crafting, so is there demand for weapons and armor on the server? Or do people just make crafting mules to get t...
