I am not sure maybe it just works for tames. I never was able to entice an npc through a gate. But you could gate when a wyrm is set to follow you via the "kill" command

Why do you think enticement is a skill? It was made for such purposes as to lure pets away or healers upon boats into places like the old lands etc. Many thought it was just for whimsy. It has a purpose, now you know for what.

You can gate anything provoked...even without provocation. Try gating then cast magic arrow at something behind it.

You can take the sword from the swordsman then why not the dragon from the tamer?

If stealing is allowed, dumping exploding pots on afk macroers is okay...and pking new characters in GYs is the way it is I say learn to adapt. Too often players have been killed by people with multiple dragons or other pets. Why not nerf taming then. I hid as a blue in a dungeon once because I seen...

Believe it or not you can entice through Gates making Dragon theiving alot easier...I just did it with an Ossy.

Actually I think I would even drop mediation for stealth and wear heavier armor whilst visible/hidden drop it for stealth...that would be the kicker. A special operations template.

well it doesnt cancel out provoke either, so what good does this skill do? It should cancel out provoke, and erase the monsters last target info. I have hoarded a bunch of scrolls if you dont get it soon...maybe I can find one in my wastebasket pouch of scrolls or russle one up someplace.
I suggest finding it in game first of course. More meaningful to quest for the lost scroll

Not necessarily war mode but auto defend. So I had to tab once.

I am not sure but if you tab out at the right moment you wont be revealed. I had to tab out when I ran back for my posessions as someone casted invisible on me otherwise I go into war mode and attack the individual disclosing my location making myself visible. This worked for PvM IDK about PvP.
