Re: Second Age & Simultaneous Account Login
Once again I feel Like I should post this whenever people start to say what was and was not legal back then. NOTE: This isn't a plea to Derrick, this is just verification and documentation of the era policy. http://web.archive.org/web/19991129021021/support.uo.com/gm_exploit.html Timestamp: "19...

Re: Second Age & Simultaneous Account Login
Yes there's a fine line between "Play and let play," and allowing the game and gameplay degrade to the point where player *activity* is neglected for cold numbers and efficiency. New policy on Multi-clienting would actually fix a few problems. -Increased genuine player activity. (Players o...

Re: Second Age & Simultaneous Account Login
This all stems from the desire to have "an edge" over another player. 2 heads are better than one, 3 heads are even better, 4 works even better (as long as you're not caught). I can only assume that much of the multiclienting is simply a slippery-slope desperate attempt to even the playing...

You're Welcome.
Glad to know I can still help even if I'm not an active player. ^_^

Re: Controlling what grandmaster profession you display
To fix your "GM display" Do the following: -Open you skills list. -LOCK your other GM skills -Make sure your desired skill to display arrow is Up showing that it is still able to "gain" -Close the paper doll and re-open it. If it still doesn't display properly, log off and log ba...

Re: Awesome community... or is it?
My advice is not to give up!
I know that the community can be tiring, some... even much of the time.
But the game itself is good. You should just work to surround yourself with other good players.

Re: Second Age: An Entirely Different Game - A Dead Horse Kicked
I think it's a good sign that there are less posts about "this game feature is broken or this mechanic doesn't quite work right." I'm sure that there's still items on Derrick's list that needs addressing, but it seems that UOSA is kinda smoothing itself out. I mean, just the fact that the ...

My online time is sparse. But I haven't officially "quit," yet.
Considering those offers.

Re: Fishing
yes. skill gain past 96.0 is gruelingly slow.
There's a point where you WILL think fishing skill gain is broken for you. That means it's working
We all did that, and pushed forward. Those last few points will indeed come.

Re: Second Age: An Entirely Different Game - A Dead Horse Kicked
I appreciate the part of devil's advocate over all this, Gicod. I guess it ultimately comes down to what the players want and how the players "see the game." My points are these: -At what point is there "too much" automation and efficiency? Does a line exist? Where is this line? ...

Re: Second Age: An Entirely Different Game - A Dead Horse Kicked
I'm afraid we have to face certain facts. FACT: Gamers tend to seek out efficiency. Once found, the community will standardize whatever is the most efficient process. If you don't emulate the most efficient process, you will be at a major, if not crippling, disadvantage. FACT: Macroers will nearly a...

2 things I can see from my own character:
1. The chest armor is missing (Shadow mail, like the leggings)
2. Black dyed items show up as white.

Any expected changes to the clothes layering? Looks like there are still issues. Some pieces aren't showing up.

...what benny- said.
Seriously, though. Thanks for posting this in such a well-formed, consistent, and on-target way. If there were more players like you, I could probably invest more time in this game and even open up my shop again.
