Re: Discussion: Limiting Razor for era accuracy
Another solution : Let's create an UOSA installer (that does not tamper with your existing UO installations) and everyone starts using the same client from right after our target data. http://www.uoguide.com/Client_Patch_1.26.2 With a litle bit of luck we can get UOAssist to work. Novus Opiate POL ...

Re: Discussion: Limiting Razor for era accuracy
" Simply the way it was.. ." Hmph! Not quite yet, and slipping fast. We can only dream and not give up. Every T2A shard out there uses this phrase and they all seem to think the same thing - change some gameplay mechanics and you're done. I appreciate what UOSA has done in terms of things...

Re: Discussion: Limiting Razor for era accuracy
If this were implemented I would consider re-joining the shard. To me, the spirit of UO has been gutted by Razor. There were two things that made old-school UO great I think: what you could do and what you couldn't. The game allows you to interact with 95% of the objects within it, something that n...

Re: Era Accuracy: Player Vendors
Except WHO CARES about vendor customization. Why try to be Era Accurate then leave major things like this out? Because it's not a "major" thing. It doesn't affect the game mechanics. It doesn't affect the game at all. Hidden horses, speed/damage of mini heal, house bans, etc are valid gam...

Re: Patch 117 - Oct 3, 2009: Fatigue, Taste ID, Treasure maps...
The reason people liked T2A so much wasn't because of the bandage cutting, the mount fatigue, and exp pots, or the cartography or even the requirement to taste ID potions before knowing what they were. OK, so give some input as to what more needs to be added for people to "like T2A" inste...

Re: Patch 117 - Oct 3, 2009: Fatigue, Taste ID, Treasure maps...
Salute and Bow animations slowed. [ forum ] Thanks for this, though they're *too* slow now! I don't know what kind of values RunUO accepts for speed (is it in total time? fps?), but a good reference would be swing speed for lower stamina values. At first I thought it was when stamina was below 100%...

Re: Mob attack speed, & more
I tell ya, kids these days. Back in my T2A days, we used to solo Ancient Wyrms in our underwear. For real! By the way, with regards to animation: I've noticed that the attack animation speed is dependent on your stamina. At 100% stamina your attack animates very fast, where anything below 100...

Re: Mob attack speed, & more
I'm curious if you've taken the fact in that we are now in the broadband age, whereas before 56k was king. This would be my guess. This should actually have the opposite effect that you're implying it would. Assume mobs attacked at their current speed but we were all on dialup... we'd be lagging an...

Mob attack speed, & more
This was mentioned only once that I found, but it was in reference to Liches only. Someone else please give your input as my memory is hazy and I do not have the demo nor have I ever tried it (though I understand its not an absolute reference either) Since the very first day I played RunUO in 2002/3...

Re: Suggestion - Make AFK Macroing inside town illegal
Yes please. In this era there were many more players than we have here... and a much lower percentage of those players were AFK. So combine those two things and you have a shard that feels pretty dead compared to what it should be.

Unfortunate for me as these are the type of things I notice absolutely immediately and tend to bug me ;pFaust wrote:These type of small fixes typically get shoved on the backburner for quite some time in most cases though.

Single clicking item stacks
Did a search but didn't see this mentioned. Shouldn't it read "100 gold coins" instead of "gold coin : 100" ? The latter format was used when they added localized item names, since there was no way to easily format it for every language AFAIK.
