I've been a member of PGoH on Catskills since I think relatively shortly after it was formed, which was shortly after UO launched.
It's always been my home.

Re: Best Real Estate on Second Age - POLL
I'd personally love one of the houses in Hidden Valley.
Though other ones could be considered aesthetically nicer, or more convenient, I like the location of Hidden Valley better.

Re: Technical Question: World Save
Thanks for pointing out the other thread :) Our save times tend to be somewhat long simply because of the sheer number of items in the world, something like 5.5 million now. The tutorial server we have saves at the same regular intervals, but we don't have a message there because it only takes abou...

Re: Technical Question: World Save
What freeshard are you talking about? I can't say.. But then again maybe they just had it set at a longer interval and I didn't notice. Just didn't know if it was technically possible to get rid of or increase the interval. And of course, the EA shards of course don't do it, but then again, differe...

Technical Question: World Save
One of the little nit-picks I have about UOSA is the "World is Saving" pause that happens at set intervals, and essentially freezes you while you're playing. This is more a question for Derrick probably, but why does this free shard do this? I've seen other free shards that don't have this...

*Wipes a tear from his eye*
Sorry.. Bit of nostalgia.. People actively seeking a smith.. Been so long.
Yeah, as soon as my smith character gets up and going, I may have to set up shop at the Ol Brit forge when I need donations..
Man, I love this place. Wish I had more time.

Re: Roleplay (RP) guilds - Are there any?
I had thought to check that out after I posted this.. Or to move this to that board, but couldn't find a delete option.
The Militia initially intrigued me, but Mark is no longer playing UO, so I'm not sure where that leaves the guild.
Maybe someday I'll have to create my own.
Thanks for the reply!

Roleplay (RP) guilds - Are there any?
As an occasional player (Not a lot of free time), I find myself lost in a bit of a quandary. To roleplay, you need to be familiar with the community surrounding you - Events, dialect, personalities, that sort of thing. Being strapped for time, I am not able to really interact much with the community...

Ah! Did not know that was there. I rarely touch Razor, so I didn't look closely.
Thank you for the tip!

Re: Older Clients - Can you download them anywhere?
The recommended client is downloaded from the mainpage. http://www.uosecondage.com/ Thank you, but that is where I downloaded it from to start with. I was simply curious if there were any older versions of the client available. If there aren't, that's fine too. Just didn't know if anyone else knew ...

Re: Accuracy in the face of stupidity.
I believe the turn-in system is OK just because it's not affecting gameplay. The question is not weather or not it is "OK", it's weather or not it is "Era Accurate" - which was the whole point. My ideas may not fit in, but neither does any item that can be obtained by any means ...

Older Clients - Can you download them anywhere?
Just curious - I saw a thread in the era accuracy section in which Derrick asked "What version of the client are you using?" I was wondering - Is there any place to download (safely) older copies of the client, with the old intros and the old status screen (Showed AR rating and whatnot), a...

Re: Accuracy in the face of stupidity.
We would not ever add this (or anything) to crafting, but this would definately be a cantidate for a "unique item" under the silver/trophy turn in thing. Forgive me for speaking out on this, but may I make a small point? You will add items and features to the game that did not exist in th...

Ahhhh.. Well, if if 5 items at a time is accurate, than I must be mistaken then!Karik Verlee wrote:I remember selling jewels on chessie in 99 5 TOTAL at a time. It took forever.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Again, sorry for bringing up an old thread.
