Guards?

Alright, I'm not exactly sure what the deal with the guards is, but I feel like a total newb asking this. I was out killing a skeleton in the graveyard, I was gonna get whooped so I ran into town. I called "guards" and no one came to help. I ended up having to run away. Can someone please ...

Re: Macing

As for my starting skills, I made the mistake of using "resist" as one of my 50 skills. I thought it was a good idea at the time, but I'm not gonna cry too much over it. My other 50 skill was magery. The template I'm shooting for is; Magery Meditation Eval Int Resist Spells Wrestling Sword...

Think an Alt with 50healing would suffice? XD Yes, maybe. :) It won't hurt to buy anatomy and have the healer practice that...

Evaluate Intelligence.

Is there a faster method to this? A certain type of npc I should be targeting? I'm just wondering if anyone could lend some advice. (I'm new to UO believe it or not XD)

Re: Macing

I realize I may be asking a dumb question, but here goes anyway... I'm wanting to raise my swords skill, and I was going to hire an npc to train on. What weapon should I use to do the least amount of damage? And should I make an alt to heal the npc?
