Re: Player Base
I don't think there's any way this shard would ever blow up like that. Not enough people are looking for the environment this shard promotes. Even in the era of T2A not enough people were looking for the environment, which is why they created trammel. Unfortunately, there just aren't enough people p...

Nujel'm, even though I have yet to go there on this shard.

Re: You all should be ashamed!
People need to stop pretending this is a shard for people, not code. Once you get over that, it's all smooth auto-mining from there. Agreed. Unfortunately, I was not aware of this prior to the debate at hand. Not leaving or anything, because this doesn't/won't affect me really, but it is quite disa...

Re: You all should be ashamed!
I would say it's era accurate to be here because, even though we didn't know about it, it was passively being used all the time.

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about when you talk about spell disruption. Please elaborate.

Re: A Note on Era Accuracy
It COULD devalue high-end real estate which could have unforeseen effects on the economy. Guess we'll find out.

Re: You all should be ashamed!
I don't know that no one used it, but I've never heard of it and that seems to be the consensus here. If we had some evidence of it happening, I'd quietly step out of this debate. Honestly, this bug isn't the big issue for me, because I don't have a house that is affected by it. What I don't like is...

Re: You all should be ashamed!
Faust, the two topics are apples and oranges. You are comparing something that happened in era, but was illegal to something that did not happen in era but also would have been illegal. The biggest difference between the two being that macroing happened and the LOS bug did not.

Re: Challenge Mode Enabled
Sounds neat. Yeah, it would be like putting a huge bounty out on levelers across the shard, but that would just be part of the challenge. How high can you get your skills while having a huge target on your back? I'm in. Will start my character tonight. As to Matron's comment, it would just have to b...

Re: ICQ !!
ICQ was great. Real-time ICQ chat was the devil. My girlfriend being able to see when I was typing and talk in real-time was a terrible hindrance on my gaming.

Re: UOSA Podcast
I would definitely listen to this. I agree with featheon to some extent. Twice a week is too much, however weekly seems to be the standard for gaming podcasts (I listened to a lot of WOW podcasts when I was playing, they were all weekly) I'd also limit to an hour. If your clever, imaginative and cre...

Re: Housing
I really don't think people have a bunch of houses because of some epeen issue. Maybe they have a castle for the epeen, but not multiple houses. I have multiple houses because I like to have houses in different areas nearby when I do different things. Storage can also be an issue when you like to ke...

Re: Getting killed in the middle of a tower?
The question in my mind becomes, and has been on other topics as well, what are we striving for when we talk about era accuracy? Are we looking to create a game that is mechanically identical to the T2A we all knew and loved or are we looking to create a game that is identical from a gameplay perspe...
