You will fizzle 8th circle a ton at GM. On OSI in the 100+ skill years, Im pretty sure I remember fizzling on EV's until at least 110 magery, perhaps even closer to 120.

I remember doing that kind of damage back on OSI. I used to duel my RL friends with my macer for fun and they would sometimes go thru 3-4 shield and maybe a tunic during fights against me. With my macer/swordsman I would mess around with them til I beat em half naked before swapping out for the hall...
