In 2010 it all started with sheep. My friend and I needed bandages so we corralled 20 or so sheep into a brick and I looked for an easy way to gather wool, EUO. I quit the server a few months into that session and came back around 2012 and got into IDOCing. IDOCing is a rough game to play as a solo player and I looked into EUO to give me an advantage. In this next period of play I developed a variety of scripts for simple tasks such as repeatedly attempting to place a house when it fell, sorting loot, and MIB plotting but I never figured out how to time IDOCs because house signs are actually a bit different then regular items. Bongy joined me around the end of this session and we created the Vega that you all know and love through in game grief. Bongy questioned me if I had used EUO and I gave him an honest answer. Shit went bad for me IRL so I gave my gold and items away and returned December 2013 with a little more then a castle deed. With the changes to vendor gold I figured I could use a reagent bot to make some fast cash. I developed a AFK reagent buyer that would run to mages, open doors, bank, ect. I have no idea how I wasn't banned at this point because it was blatant macroing that could not be done with Razor. I ended up moving back into IDOCing as a solo venture and ended up being recruited by Vega's crew. I used this as an advantage and abused this relationship to make myself filthy rich. At no point I told them I was using EUO. The event that led to my banning was repeatedly clicking a house sign to check the timer through a script. I received a message on IRC that I was killed and when I checked my screen I was in jail with a pretty faced Anarcho standing next to me while my macro was clicking a sign that was next to me. It was quite obvious that he knew and my time on UOSA was up. I also assume that I have been under investigation for quite some time. My 3 accounts were perma-banned and I am not IP banned but I do not wish to play UO anymore and does not really bother me because I was winding down for a hiatus anyways. I gathered 1450 silver, 6 mill gold, 2.5 mill (deed price) in placed housing, and a ton o' reagents in a year. If the playing field was fair I would not cheat however for a 15+ year old game it's unlikely that the honor system works. Ruthlessness triumphed in 1998 as it does today. Had my real life friend been playing he would of been holding all of the goods and banning my accounts would of meant nothing. Good luck to you guys in your endeavors in real life. Sorry that you had to play with my scum bag ass but it was a lot of fun (for me).

In 1998 when any sort of macroing was illegal I stuck a penny in my keyboard to repeatedly use spirit speak, screw you OSI.

The amount of crap that I got away with is a sign to me that admin observation is not enough. Well anyways here is a run-down of some of the scripts that I created, what they can do, what you should look out for:

AFK Buyer / Seller- Recalls to shops, looks for specified NPC type, buys/sells items, banks, restocks, unstocks, ability to call NPC by name, opens doors.

Stealth Killer- Other accounts follow the main account in stealth mode, attack main account's targets through magery or archery, and heal / xheal

Auto Attack- Run char around and it auto attacks birds, skins them, and picks up reagents / spams words above birds & reagents to easily find them

Stand Alone Covetous Harpy Farmer- Recalls to covetous, attacks harpies, loots feathers and gold, recalls if any player comes on screen, banks, restocks, ect.

Player Detector- quite simply sounds an alarm if a player is on screen

Swing Timer- How I learned to swing the hally. Quite honestly I never used this when I started back up on Dec 2013 but basically it lets you know when your hally is ready to swing

Crafting - alchemy, blacksmith, inscription, fletching. It was just so much easier to run a script that swaps items and designated skill levels. Stocks and unstocks of course

Escort- My pride and joy. Run around towns and it will spam 'Escort' over an npc if they are a potential escort. Hit macro and say I will take thee and when they respond with the town name it automatically gates to the town.

"Fisihng BItches"- Was my AFK fishing script capable of running all 3 accounts, using magery, archery to take down baddies including other players. Cut footwear, loot gold/reagents, ect. Everything you could want in an AFK fisher.

902 Finder- Run through town and it scans NPC for 902 sandals, sounds alarm if they are found

Gold Farmer- Full fledged gold farming with melee. Escapes from PKs, crossheals, loots, banks, restocks, ect.

Housing Scripts- Organizing/Sorting/Identifying, Scavenging, item placer

IDOCing- Various scripts including timer, placing, recall in and place (great for sniping), looting, run to specified items and loot when house falls

MIB- Simple menu driven script that opens all MIBs in bag, lets me input coordinates, and then it outputs a UOAM file of the locations.

MISC- Random crap like hue checking, monster/player checking

Training scripts- Various macros that you would normally setup in razor for raising magery or w/e but more advanced with ability to switch spells when magery/resist hit a certain level. Quite effective at reducing costs.

Vendor Searching- Input what you want to buy & how much, run around vendor area and it will automatically search for the parameters

So basically you are lazy and decided to take 3 or 4 less steps to create an EUO script instead of a razor script.

I realize EUO has more capabilities than razor but... pretty much everything u listed there could have been done in a legit way, save a few minor details.

Oh well! From my perspective I don't feel cheated as a player... I might have gotten salty if you placed a house where I wanted one, but everything else is pretty much solo greed.

After playing multiple survival MMO's I've come to realize the cheats available for UO are super tame. In comparison, the cheats in UO have very little effect on other player's game play.

To the points regarding me:

You helped create me. I also quit shortly before your ban though. I'd say Smit's insanely high blood pressure helped more than you did. When we would idoc versus you, we knew you cheated. I reported you back then to Kaivan and Braden. Kaivan basically said if I'm not at your house snapping pictures of you using EUO then anything I offer is moot. Bongy really had nothing to do with it, I hated you the most. It made me better, playing and winning versus a cheater made me unattainably good at my craft and all of the avenues it entails.

As far as you playing with us, I enjoyed playing with you thoroughly. Did you get rich? Sure. It probably would have mattered had you not come in when we already had every single thing we wanted. I wouldn't call it abuse of relationship because myself and no one else cared what you got ever. No one thought anything bad of you, and I reiterate that it was a great time playing with you.

Why? I use Razor for this and it works flawlessly. So impeccably, in fact, that I was jailed once for my macro. The only difference between our jail anecdotes is that I walked out with my stuff in under an hour because I wasn't cheating.

The amusing part about this entire thing is that I've made more gold in less time than you without 1) ever touching EUO 2) ever actively participating in an IDOC and 3) cheating in any way.

I appreciate you taking the time to explain your actions and assist the staff by providing scripts. I kinda liked you worm, but by your own admission you were a blight to the shard. Best of luck, good bye.
