Razor Update and Auto patch may prevent connection

Post by Derrick »

There are two separate issues this morning with Razor it seems, one is that the new version isn't x64 compatible, and the other is an upgrade to .Net 2.0

If you have windows XP, you may need to download the .Net 2.0 framework, which we have mirrored here:
http://www.uosecondage.com/misc/dotnetfx20sp1.exe (x86)

If you have XP/Vista 64 Bit, you may have trouble with the new Razor update. And older version of razor which has been reported to work is located here:
http://www.uosecondage.com/misc/Razor_L ... 061120.exe

There is a thread in the Razor forums discussing these issues as well:
http://www.runuo.com/forums/razor-cutti ... ymore.html

This is all I know at this time, if you have any additional information, please add it here.

I've just denied the razor update. Figured I'd wait until a defintive fix has been identified before I allow it to update.

I tried denying the update but then razor didn't even start, so I updated and thought it was working just fine (i.e. I can log in and play). However, some exception error message keeps popping up and it gives me the option to terminate the client program or to continue and ignore the problem. When I continue it seems to work okay but the error keeps popping up periodically, randomly. It happens if I am simply moving, messing with things in my pack or bank or whatever, etc.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I have Vista Ultimate 64b. Before the update, Razor was working just fine and I even reinstalled the .net framework 1.1.

[PROBLEM SEEMS TO HAVE FIXED ITSELF]

[ignore...]
i got booted from the game around 11 eastern or so on oct 15 and haven't been able to log in since...

i have windows vista just to let you know.

i tried the link derrick posted for vista users but was sent a "page not found" message. i have since uninstalled razor and reinstalled the old version with no success and so i tried to uninstall and reinstall the new version with no success.

what happens, and this is the case after each time i changed something, i run razor as an admin and check to make sure the server and port are correct then click ok and get to the log-in menu. i enter my user name and password and hit enter or the green arrow and get stuck on the "connecting..." page. after a few seconds the program is classified as "not responding" and becomes frozen..

any advice? maybe razor or uosecondage is doing some maintenance and that's the issue?...i have no ideas

EDIT: by the way i have not seen a message or anything to indicate a razor update
