Having multiple client issues

Post by Onslaught »

I have two computers, my old one with XP and my new one with vista. The XP machine runs 3 clients like normal and it's patched all the way. The vista machine will not run 3 clients and won't even patch all the way. My client is actually 4.2.0 :-(

Anyone know how to fix this so my vista machine will run 3 clients?

Uninstall vista and install XP.

I am by far no expert, but will try to give you a more helpful answer than the previous.

I too have vista and had problems patching it up. For whatever reason, when I uninstalled UO and put it right back on and patched it worked just fine. I didn't mess with the framework or razor, just UO. Now, it works great, and I can open 3 clients with no problem.

Dunno if you will have the same results, but good luck.

I don't know to be honest. I have a couple anti virus programs with firewalls and such. I tried disabling both of them and reinstalling tho and it didn't work.

Actually fixed it by copying the entire ultima client from my XP computer to my vista computer.

Wish I would of thought of that earlier :(

It's probably because the client is reading the original install by default. there's a registry entry the new clients add but i can't remember the location of it.
