Can't resign from NPC guild

REPORTED ISSUE: Can't resign from NPC guild

ISSUE DETAILS: Would like to join thief guild but can't due to being in another guild. Only guild I have ever joined was mage guild but not with this character. I still took the character to the NPC guildmaster but when I say "[Name] resign" The GM says you just joined guild must wait a week. I have waited several weeks and I still can't resign.

ENVIRONMENT DETAILS: Visited the mage guildmaster in Ocllo and Brit and get the same message.

STEPS TO RECREATE: Visit guildmaster say name of GM and resign

EXPECTED RESULTS: I hope to be able to join the theif guild one day

If you say "Name Resign" where "Name" is the name of the NPC guildmaster (and you're next to them), that works.

OK, so I resigned from the guild but cannot join a player guild. Is this still a bug?

You also need 96 hours of Game Time before you can quit an NPC Guild.

48 Hours Game Time to join. (plus 7 days character age for Thiefs Guild only)
You must spend 7 real days, and 96 Game Hours in the guild before you can quit.

You can be in an NPC guild and a player guild at the same time. My mage, Gallifrean, is in the Mage's guild as well as C^V.

In the player guild, has the guild's GM accepted you into the guild?

Yes, he was invited to join by the current GM, actually!

When he double-clicks on the stone, he gets a message saying:
"You are not a member of this guild! To join, ask a current member to invite you to the guild."

When the GM tries to add him as a candidate, it says:
"They are already a candidate."

I was never able to join the Thief NPC guild but its ok since I dropped stealing.

Making a player a candidate puts them on a 'pending status list' that requires the GM of the guild to accept through the guildmaster options section before he/she is a part of the guild. This usually happens when a player invites the other player instead of the GM. If the GM of the guild selected this option it should automatically put them in the guild instead of on the candidate list for joining.

Are you positive the GM selected the candidate option and not a standing member of the guild?

Sorry for my half assed reply. NPC guilds don't have anything to do with player guilds, I admittedly skimmed your question, sorry about that. Glad you got it figured out.
