line of sight

Post by alatar »

Currently no line-of-sight is needed for you to access containers. What I mean by this is, if you were to walk up to a house, with circle of transparency on, (let's say someone had a bag locked down inside the house, but along the wall) even though you're not inside you can still open the bag. You can't move or take any of the contents but you can see what people have stashed if it isn't secure.

Aye. We've been aware of this for a while but it's been on the back-burner. I'll see what I can do about getting this fixed soon.

I dont think it's a big deal. You can use it to show off and still have a secure house. If you don't want people to see it, don't put lockdown containers against an outside wall. I dont know why you wouldn't someone to see what you have, It's not a big deal.

It's a video game... common sense should have nothing to do with it.

There's no easy fix for this yet, but as soon as I can find the time we'll get it fixed. I agree that it makes no sence.

We play human characters i dont think they should be able to open or see stuff that is on other side of walls unless we had some kind of spell for it.

thats what i meant with "Common Sense"

I wasn't aware that it was era accurate. I certainly don't remember this but if true it's a relief to me. I'll look into it.

Hey hey! This is a funny one because it IS era accurate, if I remember correctly..

Whats funny is that I used this on OSI to steal items from people/houses while recall

was casted up during t2a, which I think was nulled with the same patch that Derrick

used for this new pvp system. :D

Either way I have been doing this since I can remember on OSI/Freeshards.

PS. I couldnt care less what happens here, we cant dupe or steal here!!
