The annual Mary Kay Convention Seminar has taken over the city of Dallas. "The Ladies", as they are referred to by most of the Dallas transportation industry, invade the city during 5 back-to-back week-long conferences, and, combined, form what is usually the largest convention we get each year.

We're smack-dab, right in the middle of it. We'll have The Ladies the remainder of this week and next week. Then they all go home. I'm afraid I'm a little late to the party, so I need to make up for lost time in order to make my money from it this year.

Because of this, I won't be on much this week or next. I've got my computer in my car so I can log in while sitting on cab stands, but I won't be able to go on any hunts or do anything very time-consuming like that. The Ladies are most active in the evenings and at night, so you can see the obvious conflict there.

After these next couple of weeks, everything will be back to normal.

If anyone needs me, and I'm not on IRC on either my computer or my phone, pm me on the forums and I'll try to answer in a timely manner.

The Mary Kay Convention ended today. That's it for the Ladies and the Pink Caddies (and black mustangs now, apparently).

Of course, now I'm in the middle of Quakecon over at the Hilton Anatole, so this weekend will be busy at night. I worked it last night. Every trip involved the same conversation.

Customer: "Hey, man. I see you have a laptop in your car. Are you a gamer?" (I don't see how a laptop in a business related vehicle automatically means "gamer" but whatever)
Me: "Hell yeah!"
Customer: "Really?! Awesome! What do you play?"
Me: "UO"
Customer: ...
Me: "Ultima"
Customer: ...
Me: "Ultima Online"
Customer: ...
Me: "You've never heard of Ultima Online?"
Customer: "When did it come out? Is it new?"
Me: "Dude, this game came out in 1997! It's like the best MMO ever!"

I think I've had ONE customer that knew what it was. Really? I mean, come on!
