Blessed items are breakable here if they were blessed from the patch that was put into effect several years ago. UOSA has many grandfathered items as you know. Items that Derrick told players would be unbreakable will remain unbreakable, simple as that.

It is not a typical grandfathering, though.

In this case, we have actually added a mechanic/new state for these items. "Super blessed", if you will. I can go into more depth on this if you like.

The reason these items have never been affected is because Derrick told the original purchasers that they would never break. I have discussed this with Derrick a number of times and he would like to keep his word on this matter.
^ this and you know that fix was "for now" as per derrick im pretty sure you have all milked your unbreakable items for the worth of the original silver and then some like get real already and get over it. reset the damage fucking damage and let em break

His words are in the patch note that made the change.

Here's for a more breakable-masky future in Q3 '15 !!

We have arrived at a different instance of "now". Have you reconsidered this mechanic?

I woke up this morning with this sense telling me to check these forums, and what do you know, it's been exactly 6 years ago when we learned through research (both demo testing and UO patch notes) that all blessed items should become breakable, specifically grandfathered items.

Certainly this change has been added by now as we all know UO:T2A thrives on era accuracy...

This needs to be done if it hasn't been. Now is the best time with the population down so much, think of it as a starting over.

Most of the loudmouths who fought against this because of > muh pixels are gone now. Time to be era accurate.
