Era Accuracy: Black Sandals

During t2a black sandals spawned on both weavers (male and female) and jewelers (only female). I am 100% positive because when I was younger playing t2a farming black sandals was literally the only thing I did with my spare time. I had over 30 pairs.

this is how i would make money. get 2-3 pairs a day and sell each pair for atleast 50k.

why were they spawning on these npcs? i havn't the slightest clue, but they did :?

this is true they did spawn on those 3 vendors.

they are not on this shard because there used as an event reward system prize

Aye, but for the sake of accuracy no one knows how it'll play out. ;)

Here's a wiki source... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultima_Online#Easter_eggs

On Chessy you could also get black sandals from vendor in Bucs.

as time goes on UOSA closer approaches accuracy
events and trophy prizes are already starting to phase out a bit
CUB, black tub and server births are good examples of that
if its proven those black(or close to) sandals did spawn on vendors im sure its only a matter of time until it is implemented

I'm not sure about the Buc vendors but the ones on Jewelers and Weavers were true black

Also just for clarification- the other types of shoes that weavers wore were Male- brownish/reddish sandals and black or reddish/brownish shoes while the female weavers had black shoes/sandals and white shoes/generic(like from the shipwreck) brown sandals. I forget what else jewelers could have to be honest but i know i got some off them- and the only jeweler im positive of is Papau however during t2a I could get them off any weaver even in the older towns.

to further add to this thread, i forgot what the NPC was called (was a female, wore a white dress, could be escorted) but white sandals should spawn on these NPC's as well.

exactly how i remember it. sometimes they had black shoes instead of the sandals.

but i want to make sure that this was during t2a, and not during UO:R

This was definitely a T2A feature. I happened to run into a weaver on the demo who was wearing some black sandals at the time. I have personally be in favor of this kind of change for a while, but it did interfere with the trophy system. Given the fact that we have begun to stray from that mentality starting with the black dye tubs, it stands to reason that we should consider black sandals for accuracy reasons. Although I am in support of this, don't expect this to happen for sure mainly because of the fact that Derrick inevitably has the last say on any issue.
