UO Second Age

Well i have been having a play around with this today and broke parts of it down, to be honest it has really opened my eyes to the possibilitys of razor. However if anyone thinks that what telamon has put up here is just a case of copy paste and off you go then your kidding yourself. He even says this himself in a round about way.

I have always been fascinated by the game mechanics of UO and played around with macros to make life a little eaiser however this is borderline obssesion (sorry but it is).

Yes i too was a big fan of roadkill back in the day !!! and jumbling all the small scripts together to make some funky new uber script.

This requires a massive amount of dedication and time just to re work it and set it all up with your own chars and I could see it getting really fustrating - (i can honestly see why he has said it has taken him a year to put it together).

I really dont think the purple pot brigade are going to be a massive problem either to this if anyone could be arsed doing it as there are over 100 mutilple recall spots here and they are not all in the same location - ok so they are on timers of a fashion but seriously who is going to stand there and wait to PP someone who may not even come back for an hour if they put a pause in the cycle. So if you wanna purple pot people who are using this to AFK BULK BUY REGS i recomend getting obsessed with razor too and write something to combat the obsession of another.

I think we need the staff's positon on unattended pvping.

I read through it a few times and I don't understand the need for the characters to have the Stealing skill or what '..with thieves guild membership he can operate secretly' means. I would love to know

It's ok Matron, you can take credit for commissioning this project as part of the cA Socialist Society's Initiative to ensure that all second age players have at least 10 million gold in the bank. No need to be modest.

I can confirm that I haven't spoken directly to Telamon in months, possibly even a year, and indeed I have never encountered him in-game at all. I'm not sure why he wants to give us credit for his work. One gets the sense that he thinks this would reflect poorly on us, but I am not sure why.

Thanks for sharing your work with the UOSA community, Telamon. It is very impressive and a few brave souls may even benefit from it. For my own part, it is too complicated and time consuming to use.

Thanks, and that answer has created another question - what is the value in using disguise kits for this? Except maybe so that spiteful stalkers won't know who they're really hating on, but I don't see how that matters. Players will house-kill you or attack you in the wilderness regardless of whether or not they know who you are or have a reason to do it. I might be wrong but IMO t's not as though being public about running this macro could call down some rougher treatment than you'd expect to receive anyway.

Wow cA won't even take credit when it is deserved. Glad to see cA and Telamon have settled their grievances and joined forces. Way to go putting the needs of the many ahead of the needs of the few and wanting to make sure everyone on UOSA can get rich!

Is the idea to release this in order to create 100 Telamon-level wealthy players and thereby ruin the economy? That is the only thing I can think of, and it seems unlikely to happen. This will lead to one or two more Telamons at most and is a really neat guide that helps people see the possibilities of Razor.

I still don't see what cA has to do with this, but I am often out of the loop. Perhaps Telamon can simply and honestly state his intentions and whether he intends the cA connection in jest. From where I stand, he did the shard a really great service by writing a detailed guide for those with the time and gumption to follow in his footsteps, but one distinctly gets the impression from Telamon and Brules that they intend to harm the shard in some way and because of some particular thing or things cA did.

These macros are as old as my playing here, nothing new here... To anyone who thinks these UO-millionaires Elder Gazered their way to their riches, jokes on you.

EDIT: To elaborate, this really has been going on for many years. Yes, we all harass the obvious ore EUOers, but really they are just the dumb ones. I'd say at least 95% of you "rich" UOSA players in the past have simply only used means like this.

I don't do this, as it is a joke and really makes me not want to play UO, it also makes me think that all there is to UO is a little quick PVP fun, as there really is no real economy factor to speak of.

I claim this entire post to be SUPER-HAXXORZ!!!!! Now, all that needs to be posted by telamon is videos of his multiple accounts he uses to land every single idoc and get a large majority of the loot.. he must have like 3 ghost accounts, 1 player account, and 1 lacky account to do all this...
