Questions about the shard, pvp mostly

Hi everyone, I'm checking out different shards and was wondering if you could answer me some questions about the gameplay in Second Age. I am familiar with T2A, but of course player run shards are all different.

1) Can I cast while holding a weapon?

2) Can I walk/run while casting?

3) Do melee, mages, or archers do the best at pvp on this shard?

4) Are there alot of PKs on the shard?

5) If I cast magic arrow on someone while they are casting, will I fizzle them?

6) Do pure mages do well at all on the shard? (pvp)

7) Are there runebooks?

I have played on a few different shards, but mainly deusovis 2 way back when it was running. The pvp revolved mostly around mages, and casting magic arrow back and forth happened alot to fizzle each other... This may sound shitty, but I liked it alot actually. What will I NOT like about this shard?

3. I would say mages, but they all do well if you know how to use them.

6. By puremage, what exactly do you mean? Scribe/Poisoning do not affect PvP.

7. Yes. Also, they are not blessed. So keep them safe.

8. This sounds like the era for you... test it out, see if you do like it.

1- No

2- No

3- Tank Mages seem to be the best, but I guess it depends on your skill and what you're used to

4- There is a decent amount of pks on this shard. Most people when they hit 7x gm will start to pvp. You will find people to pvp with

5- Very low chance of disrupting them. If they are at 100 resist its a very very low chance of disrupting them, you're better to do lightning or fireball.

6- No they don't. You need to add a weapon skill and put stats at 100 str 100 int and 25 dex if you plan on being mage.

7- Yes there are runebooks but they aren't blessed

8- You won't like the fact that you can't disrupt with magic arrow. You may not be used to the type of pvp on this shard (neither was I when I started) but believe me it is the BEST style of pvp out there.

You must have been playing a Sphere shard. They have BADASS mage pvp, it's all time based, LOS and all about fizzles... pvp here is very different, IMO Sphere is a lot more fun and fast paced....here it is so much easier to run like a whore and fight forever....

oh well, still the best shard either way.

You can kill just as quick here as you can there... it's taking me some time, but im getting the hang of it again. Unfortunately, I have to re-work some skills, I forgot about stat loss

on sphere shards, you can cast while running, meaning people cant run forever and bs like that...and im pretty sure on most sphere shards gheal takes a considerable amount of more mana and does less.
