Assistance please?

Post by Flash Hardstar »

I need some assistance/ advice here. I'm running a fairly new laptop, core 2 duo, clean of virus's. windows vista. The problem:

I will be playing, at any given point and time, and freeze in place. Thats right, freeze in place. (i'm talking mid run, still leg up in air). BUT!!! I am watching everyone else move around me just fine. After 5-8 seconds I unfreeze and can continue gameplay. note that this is not general lag where everything freezes then catches up such as internet lag. I legitimately am the only one frozen while watching others beat on me. Much like if i were paralyzed but awake on the operating table watching everyone operate but cannot do anything.

Any ideas? Thoughts? Fixes?

Do you use CPU useage reduction?
if so uncheck {eidt insert} (close razor reopen)and report back after a bit of playing.

If you're running any macro in Razor that involves your character moving (stealth is a popular one that comes to mind) there is a known issue with this causing your client to "de-sync" and you being frozen in place. Logging out and back in fixes this.

Check the "Razor - settings for Windows 7" section of http://wiki.uosecondage.com/Razor
(the settings for Vista are the same as Win 7)

Also see the "Never include walking in a Razor macro" section.

I used to have this problem and I think I fixed it by replacing my old kinked up ethernet cable with a new one.

wireless signal will cause that.

specifically whats happening to you is that your upload bandwidth ability is being limtied or maxed out and not working and your dl is fine. so you can see ( dl info) of people runing but cant move (upload) any information to the server.

so check your isp upload cap via speedtest.net
check your cables for loose connections
use a wire
reset modems
check how your router handles ipv6 as some isp like are now using it and your modem might be reacting unusually to it.

good luck :P

I had this problem for about 30 days before it was resolved through much work.
