Hmmm I dunno about this. Someone wanna tell me how he has so much circle of trans? I have mine maxed at 200. His pic shows transparency just before the his feet inside the castle.
different program perhaps?...

You can edit the config file.gustopalis wrote:Hmmm I dunno about this. Someone wanna tell me how he has so much circle of trans? I have mine maxed at 200. His pic shows transparency just before the his feet inside the castle.

IMO this still seems like an exploit. You couldn't use razor back then for this why would you be able to now. This destroys game play.

According to Telamon, this is possible even without Razor. I haven't figured that one out yet.Paradox wrote:IMO this still seems like an exploit. You couldn't use razor back then for this why would you be able to now. This destroys game play.
As far as the editing being legit, I suppose so. Many (including myself) use treehack, etc. Which is along the same lines.
Re: Targeting inside a house from outside with no LOS
There are a variety of ways to do this, however what it comes down to is the Line of Sight system on UOSA. Based on conversations derrick has had in the past regarding line of sight, the farther you are away from something the better you're line of sight is.Teh LawL Firm wrote:I know another way but i don't want to make it public. still think it should be fixed.
So with this trick you can target 1-2 spaces into a keep, from 2 spaces away, 3-4 spaces inside from 3 spaces away, and 5-6+ spaces inside from 4 spaces away. There are a million ways to get a target just where you want it so that's not really even the issue. Its why can I see through the walls of a house.
But apparently this is how it was in the beta, and looks to be here to stay.
To change your circle of transparency from 200 to 400. Edit your uo.cfg file in C:\Program Files\Ultima Online. Make sure you do this while Ultima is closed. This is not really a hack, just the ingame option tops out at 200. I'm not aware that this is illegal, since its just a built in game option.
I can post an essay on how to remove the walls (visually) from a house if you wanted to learn, but the legality of modified multi.mul files here has never been very clear. I'd probably be banned.
And yes, IMO going around and killing people deep in their houses by casting spells through the walls is an exploit of a game mechanic, however on UOSA this is known as ERA accuracy. If I went around killing people mercilessly like some players are using this exploit I would expect some jail time.Paradox wrote:IMO this still seems like an exploit. Telamon, appreciate the clear, detailed report, thanks.
All, let's keep the judgment on bans, the nature of exploits, and playstyles, to a minimum please.

UOSA: Where beta era accuracy superceeds all.

"Jesus Christ" killed two of my chars who were in the center of a tower macroing. Ground level. Wings blocked, doors locked, detected etc.
Be aware..

As far as the tree hacks and whatnot, Derrick doesn't really like them from what he's said to me in the past, but as far as I know he's never went after anyone for using them.
However....
He does NOT want people posting screenshots of the tree hacks on the UOSA forums...and that came straight from him.
So.....should probably stop posting the tree hack pics.

Stay on subject this is about an LOS bug not a tree hack.
The formation of a hater's contempt commonly arises from jealously and/or resentment.

Still waiting to hear if this will be addressed or not.....
